 Intended use:

Immunoaffinity columns for detection of folic acid in a wide range commodities.

 General information:

Folic acid in the sample is extracted according to the recommended extraction procedure. The extract is then diluted with buffer, centrifuged and the supernatant filtered before being passed slowly through the EASI-EXTRACT^® FOLIC ACID column where binding takes place between the antibody and the vitamin. The column is then washed to remove any extraneous unbound pigments and folic acid is released from the column using 1ml of elution solution (30% acetonitrile, 70% water containing 0.2% TFA) and collected in a vial. A further 1ml of distilled water is passed through the column and collected in the same vial. Finally 100µl of eluate is injected onto the HPLC.
