Intended use:

Immunoaffinity columns are used in conjunction with an HPLC system for detection of fumonisin B1, B2 and B3 in a wide range of commodities.

 

General information:

Fumonisins are extracted, filtered and diluted before being passed slowly through the FUMONIPREP® column where binding takes place between the antibody and the toxin. The column is then washed to remove any unbound material and the purified fumonisins are released from the column using 100% methanol prior to derivatisation with OPA reagent and injection onto an HPLC.

25 wide format immunoaffinity columns (P31).

Sample preparation:

Extraction, filtration and dilution.

Detection limit:

As little as 10 ng/ml of fumonisin.

Extraction Solvents:

Acetonitrile / methanol / water (25:25:50 v/v/v).

Shelf life:

18 months at 4 °C.
